Be sure to check out the "found pet" list to see if someone
found your pet. If you found a pet, be sure to post it in our forum and help find its home.

Lost Pet

Did you lose your pet? Here are some helpful things to think about:

Search your neighborhood throughout the day and in the evenings.
Call local shelters (Franklin County Dog Shelter or The Capital Humane Society). Typically, stray or found pets must be held for 10 days in order to give the owner a chance to find them.
Inform your neighbors that your pet is missing
Place a "lost" ad in your local newspaper

Download a template for a Lost Pet flier Complete it with your pet's information and be sure that your flier is waterproof. Post the flier at the following locations:

Boarding facilities and groomers
Animal shelters
Veterinarian clinics
Local Dog Parks
Your Neighborhood
