Future Pet Owners

The continued over-Population epidemic is fostered by irresponsible pet owners. Be responsible, please make sure that your pets are spayed or neutered, especially if you allow them to go outside unattended. There are low cost spay and neuter programs!
What To Do...

A SPECIAL TIP: If someone is claiming to be the pets owner, ask for proof of ownership. For example, you might want to ask them about a specific marking on the animal.

Finding a Temporary Home

During certain times of the year, shelters and animal organizations are simply too full to take in anymore animals. It is for this reason, we are so thankful for considering making your home a temporary home.

While you care for a stray animal please know that The Pet Collaboration Project can direct you to resources that will help you temporarily care for an animal in your home until the owner is found OR until you find a permanent home. Email us at info@petcollaborationproject.com.

While temporarily caring for a lost or abandoned animal here are ways to help find a permanent home:

Download a Template for a Found Pet flierComplete it with the animal’s information; be sure that your flier is waterproof. Post the flier at the following locations:
  • Boarding facilities and groomers
  • Animal Shelters/Rescue Organizations
  • Veterinarian clinics
  • Local Dog Parks
  • Your Neighborhood
Place a "Lost and Found" ad in a newspaper

Post to our Lost and Found Bulletin Board
We have a special section for animals that were recently found and a special section for animals that have not been claimed and need to find a new home soon. Please post in the right area.
